Job Description
Position: Lead - DCC Production
Location: Jigani, Bangalore
Reporting to: Head– DCC Production
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Production is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all production activities, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently and delivered on-time while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Participate in the monthly production meeting and receive the monthly targets.
- Prepare production plans and schedules to accomplish the targets.
- Monitor production progress and adjust as needed to ensure timely delivery.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and processes.
- Address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation of resources, including man, materials, and equipment, to ensure full capacity utilisation and productivity.
- Maintain the optimum level of inventory.
Cost Management:
- Ensure operating at minimum cost.
- Analyse production costs and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production staff to ensure they are performing their duties effectively.
- Provide training and development opportunities to improve employee skills and performance.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and Evaluate performance of sub-ordinates.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Stay up to date on the latest production technologies and techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Diploma with 10+ years of experience in production management
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control procedures, and resource management techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems - SAP, MS Office
